Our Story

It all started when Ed Sine, founded Wild Acoustic Music Co...

Ed grew up in the mountains of West Virginia. Playing music at a very young age, he had a very successful music career into young adulthood. Upon graduating college, he embarked on a career in architecture and engineering spanning a few decades, that produced many award winning designs.

Eventually music called once again, and Ed started Wild Acoustic Music Co in 2007. It eventually grew from a part time business into a full time gig with the opening of a brick and mortar retail store in Historic Downtown Evergreen, Colorado. The building had been built in 1873, and it had great acoustics. Music filled the space. A music lesson program began with a few students, and soon Ed was teaching over 60 music students per week. Then Ed and Dee met just outside the shop.

Dee grew up in Georgia, and then she moved to the beautiful Colorado Rockies as a young adult. She spent a number of years as a rep for home decor companies where she became an expert in retail with home decor and gifts as her specialty. She eventually moved on to real estate, where she became very successful. Her love of decorating and making a house into a home once again called as she brought beautiful home decor into Ed’s retail store.

The snowy, cold winters of Colorado, while beautiful, began to make both Ed and Dee start to think about their future. They both decided moving back to the region where they grew up, and being closer to family might be the answer. The Blue Ridge Mountains called, and they had to go. With family members living in both Asheville, NC and Greenville, SC the beautiful town of Hendersonville, NC was the perfect spot.

While the retail part of the business was very successful, Ed had always wanted a place to have live music, and a place to welcome people with excellent coffee and great food. Dee, an excellent chef herself, also felt this would be a great addition to the business. They found a beautiful spot that had once been the finest restaurant in the area, known as Expressions, in Historic Downtown Hendersonville across the street from the iconic Historic Courthouse. The 125 year old building needed a little tender loving care, but it had room for a large commercial kitchen, a bar for the coffee cafe on the first floor with additional space for the retail shop, and a beautiful place for outdoor dining with a Courthouse view. The upstairs has an even better bar and a great space for events and music. The upstairs event room features old brick walls, heavy timber trusses, and rustic, iron hanging light fixtures.

Now celebrating our third year of business on Main Street in Hendersonville, A Wild Moose Cafe is serving fantastic food; and as we have been told by customers, the best coffee and lattes in town. The retail shop, which we are now calling the General Store, has a warm collection of home decor, great gift ideas, new books, and the music shop that began it all. Music lessons are available in a variety of instruments. Live music, mostly acoustic, happens weekly upstairs, and many other events are being added to the busy upstairs schedule.
